HMK DKEY Europe GmbH was founded as a new company in April 2004 by Dipl.-Ing. Helmut Mühl-Kühner, Dipl.-Ing. Leif Hager and Dirk Potthast in Schwalbach near of Frankfurt/Main after having been part of HMK Computer Technologies GmbH since July 2000.

HMK DKEY Europe GmbH is distributing HW and SW from leading suppliers of IT-Security products in the regions of Europe, the Near East and Africa. Having built a partner network of resellers and system integrators, the Identity and Access Management products are being distributed to end customers via these partners.

The most important operational area are applications in the field of a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), which perform issuing, distributing and managing digital certificates. DKEY Europe is an experienced specialist for PKI. The emphasis lies on Smartcard solutions, IT security, Single Sign-On, access authorizations etc. Customers are mainly in the area of financial institutions, government and the military.
